Comics and Graphic Storytelling

This class explores how illustration and writing combine to make comics.

Learn
and practice the rules of storytelling through comics. Drawing skills
are not mandatory! When designed properly, even stick figures can tell a
compelling story. Writers and artists alike are welcome. Paper, pencils
and pens provided, but feel free to bring your own supplies as well.
We’ll be drawing on 9×12 smooth finish Bristol board.
5 classes are being offered: Take one class for fun or all of them to work on a project!

Doug
Slack is a freelance illustrator working out of his home studio (which
is actually more basement than studio) in Collingswood. He has been
creating comic books since the third grade and refuses to stop.
Highlights include writing and illustrating Slacker Comics for SLG
Publishing and the web comic Hardboiled Horror Tales for
DreadCentral.com. His illustrations have regularly appeared in The
Philadelphia Inquirer and Weird NJ magazine.

Each class is $20 and you can reserve your seat here.
