CCT Summer Musical "Forever Plaid"

Collingswood Community Theatre is proud to announce its summer musical - FOREVER PLAID - a fun and delightful 1950s one-act musical. The summer musical has become a popular show. Using the Ballroom at the Scottish Rite Theatre as the venue provides for an intimate production. Following on the heels of the smash hits AVENUE Q and SPAMALOT, FOREVER PLAID promises to delight the summer audiences.  Show dates are July 22, 23 and 24 at 7:30pm with a matinee on Thursday, July 24 at 2pm.

This deliciously goofy revue centers on four young, eager male singers killed in a car crash in the 1950s on the way to their first big concert, and now miraculously revived for the posthumous chance to fulfill their dreams and perform the show that never was. Singing in the closest of harmony, squabbling boyishly over the smallest intonations and executing their charmingly outlandish choreography with over-zealous precision, the "Plaids" are a guaranteed smash, with a program of beloved songs and delightful patter that keeps audiences rolling in the aisles when they're not humming along to some of the great nostaligic pop hits of the 1950s including "Chain Gang", "Three Coins in the Fountain", "Shangri-La" and many others.

Under the direction of Mary Baldwin and starring Collingswood Community Theatre all-stars Brian Kain, CJ Kish, John Dunn and newcomer Ryan Adams, the show is sure to be a sellout.  Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students and seniors.  Groups of 10 or more receive a special rate of $12 per ticket; group tickets must be paid for and picked up prior to the show.  NO group tickets will be issued at the door.  For group reservations, call Terry at 856-854-0720 x128. We're offering a special price to our seniors (age 63 and over) for the Thursday, July 24 matinee - tickets only $10! Tickets available at Borough Hall and can also be purchased at the door. Beer and wine will be available for purchase during all performances.
