2011 seemed like an unusually busy year for high-profile crime and police stories. A on Haddon Avenue in October, leading police on a multi-day search for the subject. A Collingswood salon was the target of an alleged , while a Collingswood man was and for leading an alleged drug-and-gun ring in South Jersey. Authorities pulled from Newton Lake this year—and responded to a on a third.

In Collingswood business, the borough eagerly anticipated the new Haddon Avenue —some people even to be first in line. Collingswood got a new , , , , and a candy store. Meanwhile, Collingswood mainstay closed and a planned for Haddon Avenue isn’t quite ready.
