Town Forum, Sharp School PTA Event: 5 Things to Do This Week

1. Learn About Coworking and Maker Spaces

Monday, April 15 at 7 p.m.—Collingswood Public Library

Come learn about “Coworking” and “Maker” spaces,  from Tom Marchetty of Collingswood makerspace The Factory; Geoff Dimasi of Philadelphia coworking space Indy Hall; Kenneth Allendoerfer of CollingsLab; and Lavon Philips of SoHa Arts.

2. Collingswood Town Forum

Wednesday, April 17, 7 to 9 p.m.—Collingswood Community Center

Quarterly borough open forum. Come out and ask the borough leadership anything that's on your mind. Superintendent Scott Oswald will be available along with Mayor James Maley and Commissioners Mike Hall and Joan Leonard. Share your ideas, raise some issues, get the scoop! 3. Put a Poem in Your Pocket Day

"When you check out books you will be given poems to put in your pocket to share with family and friends. See the display of poems and try to guess which staff member chose them! The lucky winner will receive a poetry book!"

4. Senior Citizens Prom

Thursday, April 18 at 5:30 p.m.—Collingswood Community Center

"Every year the Collingswood High School Student Council sponsors a dance for senior citizens. Senior citizens from Collingswood, Oaklyn, and Woodlynne are welcome to attend. There will be dinner and dancing, and it is free. Anyone planning to attend should RSVP to the community center (856-854-4440) by April 11."

5. Spring Fling Vendor Event

Sunday, April 21 at 2 p.m.—Collingswood Community Center

"Avoid the malls and come have a ball at the Spring Fling vendor event sponsored by Thomas Sharp Elementary PTA. There will be light refreshments, fountain drinks, raffle baskets and over 30 participating vendors. Admission is free! Vendors include: Park Lane Jewelry, Discovery Toys, Miche Bags, Stampin' Up, Stella and Dot, IGC metals precious metal buyers and many many more! Come support a good cause and support Thomas Sharp Elementary PTA."
