Former Teacher Of The Year Accepts Plea In Teen Sex Case

A West Orange High School English teacher accused of having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old student pleaded guilty Tuesday to endangering the welfare of a child, according to the Essex County Prosecutor’s office.

A traffic stop on the Palisades Interstate Parkway Thursday led police to the arrest of an alleged gang member with 100 bags of heroin concealed in his anus, authorities said.

Alleged Gas Station Attendant Killer Arrested After 12-Day Manhunt

A man wanted for allegedly beating a gas station attendant to death, then robbing a Delran gas station days later, was captured in Camden Friday morning following a 12-day manhunt.  

The state has filed suit against a Sparta pair who allegedly created a Hurricane Sandy relief fund without properly registering it as a charity, and “unlawfully misled the public,” Attorney General Jeffrey Chiesa said.

Seaside Park Settles Suit With Former Bar Owner for $2.5M

Seaside Park has settled a lawsuit brought against the borough by the former owner of a boardwalk bar for $2.5 million. The suit, which named as defendants more than 50 borough employees and former employees, charged that borough officials and police conspired to run the bar's owner out of town after his establishment hosted a rap concert.

Former Students Threaten to 'Shoot Up' High School

Two former Highland Regional High School students were charged with posting to Facebook a threat to "shoot up" the Blackwood school in what police have labeled a hoax.

A Hackettstown First Aid & Rescue Squadmember was arrested Wednesday night on a charge of driving an ambulance while intoxicated, Sgt. Darren Tynan said.

SAM THE CAT We've seen him walking around our back yard, comes to the window and seems VERYRead More affectionate. Looks to be in very good condition and has a collar and tag with "Sam" on it.
