Sharpen Your Tools, Stretch Your Body: Five Things to Do This Week

1. Garden Tool Sharpening and Maintenance

Tuesday, March 19 at 6:45 p.m.—1301 Park Blvd., Cherry Hill.

Roy Knight will address the Master Gardeners Association of Camden County on proper maintenance of garden tools, mower blades, saws and chainsaws. Bring your tools, "a mill bastard file, and/or sharpening stone, oil and a clean dry cloth."

2. Free Tai Chi Class - Meditation in Motion

Tusday, March 19 at 7 p.m.—ExtraordinaryED

"At this FREE PREVIEW class, Instructor Nathan Spivey will demonstrate Tai Chi, have you experience the movements, and answer your questions. His classes begin on March 27th."

3. GMO Free NJ Monthly Meeting

Thursday, March 21 at 7 p.m.—Collingswood Public Library

"Know your GMO-free food source—grow your own! Begin planning now and start by taking a virtual walk through the growing season with Master Gardener Gwen Baile."

4. Bye Bye Birdie

Thursday, March 21 at 7:30 p.m.—Collingswood Middle School

"Get ready to "Put on a Happy Face" as Collingswood High School presents Bye Bye Birdie. The story revolves around rock ‘n’ roll superstar, Conrad Birdie played by Sam Sobel, who is drafted into the army and the complications that ensue when, as part of one last publicity stunt, he promises to give "One Last Kiss" to one lucky girl from Sweet Apple, Ohio.

"Also starring in this production are Alex Herzog as Albert Peterson, Julia Nigro as Rosie Alvarez, Olivia Micale as Kim MacAfee, Griffin Maylath as Mr. MacAfee, Hayley Schofield as Mrs. MacAfee, Abby Schreiber as Mrs. Peterson, and Jared Downing as Hugo." 

The show runs Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Collingswood Middle School with a 1 p.m. Saturday matinee. $10 for adults, $5 students and seniors (60+). Seniors get in free for the Thursday performance, and students are free on Friday with the purchase of an adult ticket. Call 856-962-5701 x 6005 to reserve a spot.

5. Frugal Fourth Friday Ladies Night

Friday, March 22 at 6:30 p.m.—Frugal Resale
