3. Meet the People Behind the Farmers Market

"Ever wonder how the award-winning Collingswood Farmers’ Market became such an invaluable local institution—as well as America’s favorite? 

"The Library will host a panel of the Market’s central figures, including founder Pam Ciervo, founder of the Friends of the Farmer’s Market Anne O’Donnell, and current organizers David Hodges and Betsy Cook. The program is free, and there will be plenty of time for questions and answers."

4. Everything You Wanted to Know About GMOs But Were Afraid to Ask!

"Ken Roseboro, originally from Collingswood, will return home in May to share his extensive knowledge about genetically engineered foods. Ken has been called 'the nation’s reporter on all issues surrounding genetically modified foods' by Acres USA magazine.

"Ken is editor and publisher of The Organic & Non-GMO Report, a monthly news magazine that focuses on threats posed by GM foods and the growing non-GMO food trend. He is also editor and publisher of The Non-GMO Sourcebook, a directory of suppliers of non-GMO seeds, grains, and ingredients, and wrote Genetically Altered Foods and Your Health and The Organic Food Handbook."

5. Art Within Reach Multi-Artist Sale Event

Friday May 31 to Sunday June 2—300 Highland Ave., Collingswood

"Artists from around the South Jersey area join forces to present "Art in the Spring 2013" -- the annual Art Within Reach sale event. On display will be a wide array of handmade items to fit every budget, including pottery, jewelry, sculpture, decorative tiles, painting, and photography."
