Verde's debut products include a shampoo called RESURFACE [WASH], and a conditioner named REVITALIZE [AFTER WASH]. Both come in 8-ounce bottles.

The shampoo, priced at $18 per bottle, soothes hair as it cleans, adding moisture via amino acids and proteins. Usage maintains hydration, with algae and citrus smoothing and closing hair cuticles to reduce damage.

"The function of our wash (shampoo) is to exfoliate the free radicals from hair, and exfoliate the scalp," said Gatto, adding that his shampoo may be left on hair for up to five minutes, to achieve maximum absorption.

Verde's conditioner, priced at $20 per bottle, is a double-conditioning tincture that leaves hair shinier and healthier. Natural moisture from amino acids and proteins add strength to hair. For maximum results, it can be left on for up to 20 minutes.

Both products, said Gatto, are safe for use on color-treated hair.

Gatto said stylists have begun using both products on clients.

"So far, our clients are loving (the products)," said Gatto.

And Gatto hopes to welcome two additions to 's line by this spring.

"Next up, I'd like to launch a keratin product; that's where we have the most demand. It would be a keratin serum," he said. "I'd also like to add an at-home conditioning treatment."

Gatto expects to add both to his line by March or April this year.

stylists agreed the line has been well-received.

"I've used it on a few clients, and it's gone really well," said Verde stylist Danielle Kalnas. "It creates a smooth texture and coats the hair. And I've noticed the blowdry is much easier."

In addition to customer and staff satisfaction, Gatto is thrilled his longtime dream of launching a line is now reality.

"It's really cool to go into my own shower and see my name on the bottles," he said. "It's been really exciting to see something come to fruition, and to think about the possibilities of where it's going."
