To celebrate the launch of its new line of skin-care products, will offer free 15-minute facials from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 23.
Acording to salon owner Kevin Gatto, the demonstration offers a great opportunity for people who've never had a facial to learn about what the process entails.
"This is a great way for 15 minutes to come in and turn off the world," Gatto says. "It’s all the steps of a facial, just accelerated."
An esthetician at Verde will analyze the skin of each client, choose an appropriate cleanser and exfoliant, provide a brief massage, and then apply a moisturizer.
As an additional perk, a make-up artist will provide a complimentary makeup touch-up after the facial.
"We love to spoil people, so any time we can do it, we do it," Gatto says.
The event will also serve as a launch party for the Comfort Zone skin-care products Verde will begin to stock in the salon. Travel kits that contain samples of the Comfort Zone facial elements will be available for sale.
"They’re great for summer and all skin types," Gatto says.
In terms of seasonal skin care, he offers another free tip: Use a moisturizer that includes SPF.
"It’s your best line against anti-aging," he says.
Although there is no charge for the mini-facial, a reservation is necessary to secure a time slot. Verde has an online appointment system for appointments.
If you can't (or don't) make Saturday's demonstration, Gatto says, sign up for his biweekly email and he'll remind you in advance of his next one.
UPDATE: You move fast, Patchers! Gatto contacted Collingswood Patch this morning to report that the time slots for Saturday's promotion have all been filled.
"We don't want to disappoint anyone so we are doing it again on Saturday July 7, 2012 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.," Gatto wrote in an e-mail. "PLUS we are giving everyone who gets a mini-facial (tomorrow and July 7) a $20 Gift Certificate to the salon good towards their first facial at Verde."
