Jam-Packed Second Saturday Tonight in Collingswood

Live music at The Factory, buy-one-get-one greeting cards at For Heavens Sake, gallery openings, a story slam and more—all in the borough tonight.

If the weather hasn't gotten you too down, and you're all stocked up on bread and milk, then there's a big evening of events in store for you in the borough.

It starts a 4 p.m. at For Heaven's Sake, where an imminent store closing has inventory at 50 to 80 percent off and seasonal cards (Valentine's Day, Easter, Lent) at buy one get one free. Cookies and refreshments will be served.

Then, at 6 p.m., head up the avenue to Kenkojuku Karate for an open house celebrating their 10-year anniversary. Learn about the dojo while you enjoy light refreshments and chat with sensei Andrew Faupel.

At 7 p.m., The Factory hosts its inaugural Second Saturday, as its house band opens for the Morning River Band, which performs at 8 pm. Pro skater Ronnie Gordon will display his repurposed skateboard deck art, as will liquor barrel artist Andrew Fleming and others.

Finally, at 8:30, hit up the Collingswood Community Center for the liberti church B.Y.O.B. story slam. Watch your friends, neighbors and guests dazzle and amaze with 5-minute tales of failure, and vote on the best one.

These are just a handful of the fun things happening in town tonight. A brief stroll down Haddon Avenue will give you plenty of opportunities to duck into lots of other shops, grab a snack, and chat with your neighbors. Don't let the nor'easter knock you out of commission!
