What's in Season
Eggplant burgers, really! As weather cools, Flaim Farms brings more of their frozen produce specialties. This Saturday they’ll have all four varieties of their ready-to-bake frozen breaded products: eggplant and zucchini in both “fries” shape and rounds. Grown on their farms and packaged right in South Jersey, too.
You want fries with that? Buy some potatoes or sweet potatoes and try a healthier oven-baked version of fries with that eggplant burger. Recipes below.
Carnivores, don't feel left out. Try an Italian sausage burger (recipe below) using Hillacres Pride Italian sausage meat, it's on sale this week for $6.75/lb. Now there's something meatier.
Don't forget the cheese. How about Hillacres Nottingham, an Alpine cheese similar to Gruyere.
