Merry Christmas, Collingswood!

Vocal trio Hotsy Totsy have helped transform downtown Collingswood into a Winter Wonderland this month, singing Christmas carols for passersby.

The women of vocal trio have been working like elves all month, helping turn downtown Collingswood into a holiday wonderland by singing live, a cappella renditions of traditional Christmas carols.

While the group can usually be heard belting out recognizable favorites, this tune proved a lesser-known Christmas staple.

Titled Mele Kalikimaka, the song—while unfamiliar to most—is a classic Christmas jingle well-known in another part of the country: Hawaii.

Shoppers stopped to listen on Haddon Ave., as used 3-part harmony to make Mele Kalikimaka a new favorite carol in Collingswood.

But regardless of custom or culture—whether it be from the Hawaiian islands or the bustling borough streets—the song's message doesn't waver.
