Local Woman's Fixer Upper Gets Prize Facelift

Power Home Remodeling Group recently descended on a Pennsauken home to strip the exterior and install all-new siding and improvements.

The remodeling company submitted the following information to Collingswood Patch:

Power Home Remodeling Group, the nation’s fourth-largest home remodeling company, headquartered in Chester, PA. We’ve just completed a remodeling project on the home of the winner of our 2011 PowerHome Challenge and are happy to share that the homeowner, Beverly, is a resident of Pennsauken.

Hosted by Power and their Greater Media partners in Philadelphia and Boston, the promotion invited homeowners with exterior “challenges” to upload photos of their home and tell a story to convince voters why they are in need of home improvements fromPower.

Beverly was nominated by her son, Dean, an area police officer who felt that her home was in severe need of a new exterior, given that it was “the worst house on the block.” Online voters agreed and Beverly was named the winner of the challenge and was awarded the prize: up to $20,000 in exterior home renovations courtesy of Power.

“We were thrilled to hear the excitement in Beverly's voice when we called to tell her she was our 2011 Power HomeChallenge winner. This contest is just one of the ways we give back to the community and we're grateful to be in a position to help a very deserving family and transform what her son had called the 'worst home on the block.' We hope they enjoy the new and improved look of their home for many years to come," said Jeff Kaliner, Power’s Founding Partner.
