Five Things You Need to Know This Week

It's a musical week in Collingswood and deadlines are approaching for spring baseball, softball and lacrosse.

1. Collingswood borough commissioners meet tonight, Monday, for their monthly gathering. The meeting is at 6 p.m. in the . As of Sunday evening, no agenda was posted online; however, a topic likely to come up for discussion: the LumberYard. The borough is up against a refinancing deadline and the outcome could affect the future of the project.

2. Groove to the music and arts this Saturday in Collingswood. Feb. 11 marks Collingswood’s monthly Second Saturday, a showing of art and music along Haddon Avenue. The warm up to the tunes of Pink Floyd at the Scottish Rite Auditorium. The Machine will rock out to Pink Floyd at 8 p.m. Visit Ticketmaster for ticket information.

4. Sign-up for girls’ softball and lacrosse also is going on this month, starting Feb. 15. There are three ways to sign up girls for the teams: online, in person at borough hall or registering online and paying at borough hall. Get all of the details at Collingswood Recreation, and don’t miss a March 9 deadline to sign up or you’ll face a late fee.
