YMCA of Burlington and Camden Counties Adds Nine New Board Members

The YMCA of Burlington and Camden Counties has announced the addition of nine new members to its Board of Governors.  Each will serve two-year terms. Board members are responsible for strategic planning, policy development, raising awareness and fundraising – all to forward the Y’s cause of strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.

“We’re pleased to welcome these highly accomplished business and community leaders to our Board of Governors as the Y continues to expand programs and services to meet the ever-growing needs of Burlington and Camden county residents,” said Tim Kerrihard, President and CEO, YMCA of Burlington and Camden Counties.

Michele Cohen is a Senior Mortgage Consultant for Lincoln Mortgage Company. For more than 14 years, she has served as a volunteer for the Y’s annual Golf Classic Committee and previously served on the South Beach Committee. Cohen belongs to the Burlington Camden County Association of Realtors (BCCAR) and serves as Secretary of the Association of Networking Professionals (ANP).  She resides in Mt. Laurel with her husband and daughter.

John Culbertson, CPA is a Commercial Department Manager at Bowman & Company, LLP. He is a member of the Y’s Camden County Advisory Board and Finance Committee. He also serves as treasurer of the Delaware Valley Businesses Association and is a member of the Drexel University Accounting Department Advisory Board. Culbertson resides in Somerdale.

Justin Cunnane is a Market Manager, VP for Susquehanna Bank in Moorestown. He is the Treasurer of the South Jersey Young Professionals, President Elect of the Moorestown Breakfast Rotary Club, and Campaign Cabinet (Banking & Insurance Chair) for United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey. Cunnane resides in Burlington with his wife and two children.

Chris Fifis is a Producer/Risk Manager for Hardenbergh Insurance Group in Marlton. Previously, he served as managing partner at Ponzio’s Diner for more than 17 years.  He serves as a board member for the New Jersey Restaurant Association, Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice and The Cooper Foundation. Fifis resides in Lumberton with his wife and two children.

Melanie Grant is an attorney and owner of Melanie Grant LLC. Grant serves on the Y’s Governance Committee. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association and Association of Corporate Counsel. Grant resides in Moorestown with her husband and four children.

Leor Hemo is Executive Vice President of Wolf Commercial Real Estate in Marlton. He is a board member of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Southern New Jersey, and a member of the Grand Lodge of Society of Free & Accepted Masons for the State of New Jersey and Urban Land Institute.  Hemo resides in Cherry Hill with his three children. 

Peggy Ireland is Vice President of Leasing for Whitesell Construction Co., Inc. She is a member of Businesses Committed to Burlington County (BC2), Burlington County Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey. Ireland resides in Philadelphia and has two grown children.

Betsy Ramos is a Civil Trial Attorney and shareholder with Capehart & Scatchard in Mt. Laurel. She’s a long-time member of the Y’s Risk Committee. Ramos is a Board member and Board of Director of Temple B’Nai Abraham, a member of the American Bar Association, Burlington County Bar Association, Camden County Bar Association, New Jersey Defense Association, and New Jersey State Bar Association.  She currently resides in Columbus with her husband. They have three grown children.

Vince Sutera is a Senior Sales Executive for Advantage Communications. He is a member of the Y’s Mt. Laurel Advisory Board and Financial Development Committee. He is also a mentor to entrepreneurs through the Burlington County College Technology Business Incubator, Troop 784 Burlington, NJ Summer Camp Coordinator, Sustainable Cherry Hill and South Jersey Green Network. Sutera resides in Burlington Township with his wife and two children.
