Our Lady of Lourdes School of Nursing recently hosted its “Marketplace for
Healthy Living,” which provided Camden residents with the opportunity to buy fresh produce and access health information. The event also offered blood pressure, cholesterol and weight management screenings, as well as seated chair massages. Lourdes nursing students provided the health screenings and education to residents.
Our Lady of Lourdes School of Nursing created the “Marketplace for Healthy Living” in an effort to involve its nursing students in community health promotion and to provide health care services to the Camden community.
The event is held weekly on Tuesdays and Wednesdays through September.
