  On Thursday, July 19th, family and friends of Michelle Johnson received word that we had lost Michelle to an act of senseless and horrific violence. Michelle Johnson was a beautiful, southern soul who made her way up to New Jersey, independently, at 18 years old. She grew up fast and managed to escape the violence of a previous relationship that hurt her physically & emotionally. From a wide-eyed southern bell, she became a 21 year old determined, hard working and independent woman who supported herself.  Michelle stole the hearts of many with her southern accent, beautiful smile, saucy nature and determined outlook.

   Michelle’s life was cut short by an act of horror when her current boyfriend shot her in his Philadelphia residence and then turned the gun on himself. Michelle had so much life ahead of her and she was too young to lose her promising and bright future. When Shelly would put her mind to something, she would stop at nothing to attain it. This is why her family and friends will stop at nothing to keep her memory alive.

The Michelle A. Johnson Memorial will be hosting a Beef & Beer on August 19, 2012 from 4-8 pm at theOaklyn Fire Hall, 20 W. Clinton Ave Oaklyn to help raise funds for the remaining cost of Shelly’s funeral services

A $30.00 donation per ticket will include open bar (wine, beer & liquor) and a variety of food, featuring some of Collingswood’s amazing restaurants.

Must be 21 years and older

There will also be a Chinese Auction, 50/50 and lots of dancing
