William James plays strange little ditties ranging in style from intimate two chord folk songs, all the way to snarling psychedelic rock with influences as diverse as Alice Coltrane, Hank Williams, The Mars Volta and DJ Shadow.

A true one man band, James uses his ancient guitar, unreal foot stompin' ability and ethereal voice to create an electric environment that is one part empowering, one part honest and vulnerable.

Mr. James music career originally grew from playing house shows in Denver's underground scene, and he eventually toured with local folkies Laura Goldhamer and Hunter Dragon through Texas, New Mexico and New Orleans.

In 2010, William moved to Philadelphia to learn from his Uncle who runs DreamBox Media, Philadelphia's only all jazz music label. Since moving he has played at The Highwire gallery, Germ Books, The North Star Bar and Danger Danger gallery. He has also played as a sideman with Eskimeaux and Those Guys and toured the northeast with a band named T.B.A.
He has two albums under his belt, but his most recent, entitled "Rewinder" was released last spring on Tiny Amp Records. It is available for listening at http://make-believe.bandcamp.com/album/rewinder-ep.
