Weird Incident in Oaklyn, Police Ask for Help

Whether something happened or didn't happen, said Chief Joseph Abbate, giving out too much information could taint the investigation.

Police reports cross our desks all the time here at Patch, but this is one of the strangest.

According to a press release issued by Oaklyn Police Chief Joseph Abbate, the department is seeking "information regarding an incident that took place outside the Oaklyn CVS pharmacy on Monday, Jan. 28," between the hours of 7 and 8 p.m.

"Anyone who was in that area between those times shopping or traveling along the White Horse Pike or along West Lakeview Avenue is asked to call Oaklyn detectives" at 856-854-0049, the announcement reads.

A phone call to Abbate couldn't clear things up too much, either, as the chief said that releasing too much information on what may have been seen—or not seen, for that matter—could compromise the investigation.

He encouraged anyone who was in the area to check in with an account.

We'll have more for you here on Patch if and when it becomes available. In the meantime, you can always post your thoughts in the comments below.
