Week in Review: Alleged Would-Be Rapist Given What For

An suspected sexual assailant took an allegedly deserved tumble down the stairs in our top story of the week.

It's been a busy week in the borough, even without the holiday.

Car break-ins continued apace, a woman awoke to a sexual assault and battled her alleged attacker down a flight of stairs and the suspect in the July robbery of the Aldi supermarket was identified.

Meanwhile, in Oaklyn, police discovered reason to believe one man dipped into the collection box at the Wawa on Halloween. Have you seen him?

There was also some upbeat news around town, as swimmer Andy Schuehler signed a letter of intent with Penn State University and Red Dog Glass began delivery of t-shirts to benefit storm victims at the Jersey shore. Plus, the latest edition of I Am Collingswood introduced readers to their busy neighbor, Jim DeSimone.

And were you among the hundreds and thousands who patronized area malls at midnight Black Friday—or earlier? Learn why one journalist says it's just not necessary to head out into the overnight hours to get a bargain.
