Another great example of how well educated, smart people make uninformed and wrong decesions based on politics. Ever wonder why our state and federal system is so screwed up.Way to go Collingswood , we struggle to keep our school system above board to support all the renewed interist in town and then we drop a turd like this on the town. Live by a simple moto! If it is not broken dont try to fix it!

Not enough room on comment board for all but the following is part of the Board Member's Code of Ethics. Did they do their job? I do not think so. Did they do their research before their decision? I do not think so. Do they have a hidden agenda? I DO THINK SO.
2.I will make decisions in terms of the educational welfare of children and will seek to develop and maintain public schools which meet the individual needs of all children regardless of their ability, race, creed, sex or social standing.
4.I will carry out my responsibility, not to administer the schools, but, together with my fellow board members, to see that they are well run.
6.I will refuse to surrender my independent judgment to special interest or partisan political groups or to use the schools for personal gain or for the gain of friends.
7.I will hold confidential all matters pertaining to the schools which, if disclosed would needlessly injure individuals or the schools. But in all other matters, I will provide accurate information and, in concert with my fellow board members, interpret to the staff the aspirations of the community for its schools.
9.I will support and protect school personnel in proper performance of their duties.

The Collingswood Board of Education is an 11-member board comprised of 9 elected residents of Collingswood and one representative from the elected boards of each of our sending districts (Oaklyn and Woodlynne). Members serve for three years and are elected on the same date as the School Budget Vote. To see a listing of the current Board members and their terms of office, go to Board Members and Terms.
Whenever the elections are you vote them out. I know as a tax payer and member of this community I do not want back door polities in my schools. You let this BOE get away with this and who knows what type of things they will pull later down the line. Give a man a inch and he will TAKE a mile.
