Public Art Contest Entries Due Tues.

July 30 is the final day to submit your design for the borough public art contest.

Tuesday is the deadline for submissions to the Collingswood public art contest and a chance to create a permanent installation in Knight Park.

In the Readers' Digest “We Hear You America” contest, the borough earned a $5000 cash prize. That money will fund the installation of a work of art designed by a local artist (or artists) to commemorate the spirit of the Collingswood community.

Everyone gets an opportunity to submit two proposals, but they're due July 30. The best finalists will be voted upon publicly Aug. 30.

According to the contest rules, judges are “looking for artwork that is interesting and possibly, but not necessarily, functional,” and that will serve “residents and visitors
of all ages and backgrounds from Collingswood, surrounding communities and beyond.”
