Police Arrest Suspect in Haddon Ave. Shooting
Collingswood Police Department took a man into custody Tuesday evening; he was charged in the recent Haddon Avenue shooting.

One individual was taken into custody at Collingswood Police Department Tuesday evening, and charged with the Oct. 21 shooting on Haddon Avenue.
Dwayne Wall, 22, of Camden, was charged with two counts of aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and certain persons not to possess firearms.
Wall's total bail was set at $213,000 full cash. He was taken to the Camden County Jail.
"Our detective bureau, along with the Camden County Prosecutor's Office, actively and aggressively followed up leads and ultimately made an arrest late today," said Collingswood Lt. Glenn A. Prince.
Wall was pulled over at the intersection of Mt. Eprhaim and Collings avenues today, Tuesday, Nov. 1. Police said he was pulled over with assistance from the Haddon Township Police Department.
After receiving information about Wall's possible whereabouts, police surveillance reportedly confirmed his location. Wall was apprehended after police saw him walking from the residence and into a vehicle, Prince said.
Police said Wall offered no resistance when taken into custody.
Wall allegedly shot a man multiple times at the intersection of Haddon Avenue and Ardmore Terrace, once in each leg. Police said the victim—whose name has still not been released—was hit below the knee.
According to police, on the day of the shooting, the victim, a 27-year-old from Camden, was arguing with another man from Camden, who was driving an off-white crossover or small SUV.
The cars first reported to be involved the day of the shooting, said police, were not correctly identified. The actual vehicles involved have reportedly been identified but not yet found, and police believe them to both be rental cars.
The victim was shot once in each leg, said police, and the vehicles fled the scene.
Police have not disclosed a possible motive for the shooting.
Det. Sgt. Guy DeRitis said a second gunman has not been identified in the case.
"We worked hard on this case," he said. "Around the clock."

Kudos to the Collingswood PD. Since the last two tenants of that house have been disasters, costing the Borough and School District boatloads of money, maybe the landlord can d a better job screening his prospects? Or, perhaps he can reimburse the town and schools for the mess caused by those who rent this house.

Hi Sean, I did not notice the address of the house you mention. Would you care to share it? You are so right that landlords need to be responsible for the people to whom they rent. Some years ago I rented an apartment very near to the shooting incident and my landlord did everything to screen me except for fingerprinting!

I agree, the landlord needs to be held accountable. He has made that part of the neighborhood unsafe while he profits from the abused government program.
But good job to the police department. Now it's time for the trash to be picked up.
