Gunpoint Robbery at Woodlynne Bank by Costumed Men
Two men brandish a gun while robbing the Sovereign Bank in Woodlynne. The FBI is searching for them.
Most robbers put on a mask or hoodie—not dress up like someone from the Village People to stick up a bank.
The FBI and Camden County Prosecutor’s Office are searching for a pair of bank robbers, one dressed rather creatively, who held up at gunpoint the Sovereign Bank in Woodlynne on Feb. 27.
The pair entered the bank at 2400 Mount Ephraim Avenue at 10:20 a.m. and confronted a teller in the lobby. They displayed a firearm and followed her to the counter, where they received an undisclosed amount of cash. Both fled, likely on foot.
The two men are described as 5 feet, 6 inches to 5 feet, 8 inches tall with medium builds. One wore a yellow PSE&G hardhat, Halloween mask, charcoal gray hooded sweatshirt, black jacket and dark-colored gloves. The other covered his face with a black scarf and worse a light-colored hood sweatshirt, a black North Face puffy vest and sunglasses.
The FBI warns the subject should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about this robbery or these subjects is urged to call the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office at 856-225-8400 or the FBI at 856-795-9556. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
There may be a reward for information leading to the suspects’ capture.
