Five Things for This Week: 7/16/12 to 7/21/12

A special meeting tonight to discuss LumberYard business, a middle school dance and theater classes for kids top this week's list.

1. Special Meeting: Borough Planning Board
July 16, 7-9 p.m.
After a mix-up in the draft versions of some LumberYard plans at its June 25 meeting, the borough Planning Board moved that business to tonight's meeting. Things kick off at 7 p.m. on the third floor of Collingswood Borough Hall.

2. Middle School Dance
July 17, 7-9 p.m.
For $3, incoming sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade students can make their introductions to one another at the Collingswood Community Center.

3. Junior Women's Club Meeting
July 17, 7:30-9 p.m.
One of the oldest volunteer organizations in town, the Collingswood Junior Women's Club sponsors a number of events and activities in town, including, most recently, the Fourth of July Bike Parade.

4. Stage Kidz Summer Camp
July 17-20
At Haddonfield Plays and Players, kids of varying ages can participate in classes designed to teach various dramatic techniques. Call 856-429-8139 for details.

5. Cruise Night
July 19, 5:30-9 p.m.
The popular classic car nights shut down Haddon Avenue with a colorful display of steel, chrome and live music. Never been? Here's what it looks like.
