Authorities in Camden County believe the same man is responsible for two carjackings within 10 days of each other in the Gloucester Township area this month.

The victims in both crimes were elderly men.

On Tuesday, the Camden County Prosecutor's Office released photographs and a description of the suspect in the case in the hopes someone can identify him.

The first carjacking occurred on Wednesday, Nov. 14, at about 8:40 a.m., in Pine Hill.

The suspect approached the victim's car, which was stopped for a traffic light at West Branch Avenue and Blackwood Road, produced a box cutter and entered the victim's car. He ordered the victim to drive him to North Camden, where investigators believe he purchased heroin.

The Pine Hill victim was robbed of $400 and his cell phone.

On Saturday, Nov. 24, authorities believe the same man responsible for the Pine Hill carjacking struck again, this time in Clementon.

The suspect approached the victim's car at Gibbsboro and Blackwood roads, forcing his way into the car while armed with a large knife, according to the Prosecutor's Office.

He took $100 from the driver and ordered him to drive to 8th and Erie streets in Camden, where he got out of the vehicle.

The Camden County Prosecutor's Office described the suspect as a white male who is about 25 years old, has brown hair and stands about 5 feet 7 inches tall. He was unshaven and his hair was mid-neck level at the time of the carjackings.
