Down the Shore: Jazzfest, Boston to Rock AC

Here's what to do up and down New Jersey beaches this weekend.

EVENTS 

New Jersey bluesman Billy Hector will headline the Point Pleasant Jazz and Blues Festival Saturday at Riverfront Park in Point Borough. The music starts at noon, and there will be food, crafters, and a beer and wine garden until 8 p.m. Organizers remind attendees to bring their own lawn chairs; leashed dogs are welcome. Classic rockers Boston will play their hits, including "More Than a Feeling" and "Amanda," when they come to the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City Saturday night. Tickets are $39.50, $59.50 and $79.50. Call 800-736-1420 or click here.

Monmouth Park continues its Family Day from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday with music, clowns, face painters, bounce houses and more. Admission is $3, and children younger than 12 are free. For more information, click here.

The Historic Village at Allaire State Park in Wall Township will host the fundraising "Gigantic Flea Market & Yard Sale" from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Tour the Manasquan Reservoir by boat, with multiple tours offered from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday off Georgia Tavern Road in Howell. The cost is $5.75 for adults and $3.75 for children age 12 and younger.
