Collingswood wrestlers took their first steps toward advancing to regional matches Friday at the District 28 tournament.

In all, eight Collingswood wrestlers move onto Saturday's semifinals. Top performers on Saturday will move onto the regional tournament next weekend.

Match of the Night: Pham was tied 2-2 in the third period when he was able to wear down Sterling’s Eduado Castellunos and get the pin.

Pins: Pham, Campbell, Deaner, Penissi, Chunko and Giancola all pinned for the Panthers.

Saturday’s action will kick off at 11 a.m. at Collingswood High School. Final matches are likely to start at 4 p.m.
