Collingswood Patch Job Club

If you're looking for work in this economy, you don't need us to tell you how hard it is out there. There are plenty of job sites that will offer you the inside track on this or that profession. We don't claim to have anything like that.

What we do hope to offer is a forum for Collingswood to post, discuss, and hopefully fill its help wanted positions. It might be a long shot, but if your neighbors who are looking for hard workers know some of your other, hard-working neighbors, this might be the kind of match-making everyone needs.

Residential Program Counselor - Volunteers of America
$10-12/hour with benefits
Responsibilities include one-on-one and group counseling sessions for mentally handicapped and developmentally disabled clients, with crisis intervention as needed.

Counselor will teach life skills: academic, personal and home care, meal-planning/preparation, leisure time planning, financial management, shopping, etiquette, and socialization.

High School Diploma/GED required, plus “two years of transferable, practical experience in the human service field,” current, valid driver's license, private transportation, and proof of insurance.

Caregiver/Companion
Elderly, disabled woman needs help with errands, light cooking, housework, and attending doctor’s appointments. Flexible hours, weekend daytimes “a must.” Bonus: a “large, friendly dog on premises.”

Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC)
Part-time or Per Diem counselor (16-24 hours across two to three days per week) needed for chart review, clinical supervision, and individual assessments. “Friendly, professional environment…no case load…great opportunity for a retired clinical supervisor.”

Certified Home Health Aides (CHHAs) / CNAs - Vitacare Services

$8.00-8.50 per hour
Previous childcare experience necessary. Temporary position could lead to full-time. Hours range from 25-30 hours per week in September to 30-36 hours per week in November.

$12 per class
“Someone who can harmonize, has decent theory background, and is really good with young children” is needed for six classes Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.

Maintenance/Make Ready Person
Property management company is seeking a handyman/technician who can perform HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and drywall repairs. Must have own tools, truck, and valid driver license. High school diploma or GED required, plus five years of related experience or training.

Groundskeeper - Greystar
Groundskeeper needed to clean apartment units, elevators, hallways, and common areas at the Heights of Collingswood. Background check and drug screening required as well as high school diploma or GED. Hourly rate with bonus potential, 401k, paid vacation, and health benefits.

Security Officer-SORA/Courtesy Patrol
Licensed security guard needed for 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. daily shift. Weekend availability required. Responsibilities include courtesy patrol, theft deterrent, foot patrol, and report writing. Site is unarmed.
