Marching Panthers Take First Place at Tournament
The Collingswood High School marching band earned the top score at this weekend's Tournament of Bands competition with its performance of 'Opposites'.
The Collingswood High School marching band put on a great performance at the Tournament of Bands competition in West Deptford on Saturday, scoring an 87.85 to secure first place in the Group 1-A division.
The Panthers outperformed seven other schools in their group, beating out second-place Cumberland High School by a full point.
Saturday was just a sign of things to come, as Collingswood topped that score at Deptford High School on Sunday. There the Panthers took first place with a score of 88.60, their highest score of the season.
The Panthers enter this weekend's South Jersey Championships at Clearview High School with the top score in their division. The routine that's earning their accolades is called "Opposites."

Thank you so much for covering this event! This Saturday, our band will be competing for the NJ State Championship at West Essex HS in North Caldwell, NJ. We are so very proud of the hard work and dedication that these students have put into this years show. They are an amazingly talented group of kids!
