Collingswood Crafts and Fine Arts Festival This Weekend
Haddon Avenue will shut down so that more than 150 artists may present their hand-made wares this weekend.
For the next two days, Haddon Avenue will be filled with more than 150 arts and crafts vendors, as the Collingswood Crafts & Fine Art Festival enters its seventh year.
With pricing ranging from "easily affordable to a unique treasure," according to festival organizer Sheila Goodman, the festival stands out from others in the area by its "commitment to presenting only works handcrafted by the artist."
The show will include many activities for children and families, including ceramic tile decorating, finger-painting and crafts, face-painting. And it's not just outside sponsors getting in on the act.
The two-day festival is a great example of the kinds of downtown events for which Collingswood is becoming famous, said Cass Duffey,
Director of Community Development for the borough, in an e-mail.
"We organize events to keep Collingswood very lively, and we hope events translate to lots of traffic for merchants," she wrote.
