Borough Schedules Two More Vote Parties
Following a vote party at Casona this month, the borough has scheduled two more events aimed at pushing Collingswood to the top of Reader's Digest's We Hear You America Contest.
Following the borough's voting party at Casona earlier this month—which resulted in over 30,000 votes—two additional events have been scheduled to help make Collingswood a top town in Reader's Digest's We Hear You America contest.
On Wednesday, Feb. 1, Casona restaurant will host another Get Out the Vote party, from 4 to 9 p.m. Voters will enjoy a complimentary Casona buffet, and are reminded to bring their own laptop or other mobile device. Guests are welcome to bring wine or beer to the event.
And on Tuesday, Feb. 28, Collingswood Community Center will host a townwide voting party from 3 until 9 p.m. Food and fun will ensue during this event, which will serve as the borough's final push for votes before the contest ends on March 1.
Collingswood will receive $10,000 from Reader's Digest if the borough places in the number eight spot, or above.
According to an official press release, "The borough is also announcing these days as official vote days. Although voting is needed daily, vote days are intended to be day-long, town-wide pushes for voting, to help Collingswood garner a mass of votes to leap ahead. (We are) calling on everyone to take some time and vote on Feb. 1 and Feb. 28."
Those who can’t make either vote party are reminded to join others in voting online, from home.
Votes for Collingswood may be cast at any time, and users may vote an unlimited number of times.
