5 Things You Need to Know This Week

There's plenty of holiday cheer to go around this week in Collingswood.

1. Pump up your holiday cheer with the Collingswood Community Chorus’ concert on Tuesday. The choir, more than 50 voices strong, presents its free concert, “One Special Holiday Night,” on Dec. 13 at the Scottish Rite Auditorium. The singing begins at 7:10 p.m. For more information, call 856-854-6024.

2. Need an outside Christmas decoration? Want to help repopulate Knight Park trees? Well, you’re in luck. When you purchase a mini Norway spruce from Warner Landscaping, the live tree will be picked up after the holidays and planted in Knight Park. Get all the details at Buy a Christmas Tree, Help Out Knight Park.

3. Do you channel Clark Griswold for the holidays and positively light up the neighborhood with your lights? How would you like $500 for your December electricity bills? Or, better yet, $100,000 for Collingswood schools? Enter Patch’s Deck the House contest.

4. Do you have something to say about Collingswood? Or do you live in Collingswood and have something to say about anything? We’ll give you a platform. Blog on Collingswood Patch and reach your neighbors. Getting started is easy—just email editor Deena DiBacco, deena.dibacco@patch.com, for information.
