5 Things for This Week: 9/3/12 to 9/7/12
Holiday or not, there's a Commissioners meeting this week. Plus: Second Saturday, a comedy benefit, and events to kick off the upcoming Book Festival.
A pair of Collingswood local government bodies will host their monthly meetings this week. Ordinances that could be on the table at the Tuesday night Commissioners meeting include:
- 1519, which amends the regulations governing Fire Pits.
- 1522, which requires property owners to obtain a two-week permit from the Collingswood Police Department before putting a dumpster, P.O.D. or roll-off container on their properties.
- 1523, which would approve a five-year PILOT agreement between the borough and Dr. John B. Tedeschi, who plans to construct a medical office at 204 White Horse Pike.
- 1524, which requires pet owners who keep their animals outdoors to build chain-link pens and doghouses in the rear of their properties in which to house them; to feed and water their pets daily and sanitize their food and water dishes; and to keep these areas free of waste.
Working copies of each ordinance are available in Collingswood Borough Hall.
