5 Things for This Week: 8/13 to 8/18/12

Free pick-up volleyball, a blood drive on behalf of an ailing neighbor, and the arts and crafts festival headline this week's events.

1. Blood Drive at Paul VI High School
August 13, 2 p.m.

Blood donors are sought to help Collingswood resident Marie Fowler, whose battle against leukemia kept her from walking with her graduating class in 2011.

2. Pick-Up Volleyball Game
August 14, 6:30 p.m.

Still got Olympic fever? Come try out the newly refurbished outdoor volleyball court located at First United Methodist Church. Anyone 18 or older is invited to play.

3. Cruise Night
August 16, 6 p.m.

July's Haddon Avenue chrome show was a washout, but this week we should have clear enough skies to host the event. Come out and see some of the finest local vehicles on two or more wheels.

4. Master Gardener Plant Clinic
August 18, 9 a.m.

Got some questions on how to put the zip in your azaleas, the punch in your pansies, and the fight in your ficus? Come ask the master gardeners of Camden County at this free monthly clinic, held at the Camden County Environmental Center.

5. Collingswood Craft and Fine Arts Festival
August 18 and 19, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

The annual outdoor event brings artisans, crafters, and creative people of all types to downtown Collingswood for two full days of outdoor fun. Don't miss it!
